Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations
- The Director of Finance will set KPI’s based on approved budgets for the departments to follow and perform to from crew level KPI’s to Crew Leader and GM KPI’s
- Responsibly for the performance of area accountants or FC’s of hotels in your area of responsibility
- Responsible to liaise with the General Managers or COO/CEO and HQ of the company
- Able to prepare and submits management reports for hotels in the area of responsibility in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines
- Able to effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures
- Able to ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard hotel assets
- Able to assist with revenue enhancement possibilities
- Able to assists proactively with cost control requirements
- Able to assist with profit improvement opportunities for the hotel operations
- Assists in the building of an efficient and professional team of employees within Finance and Accounting Department
- Monitors all local tax compliance that applies, and ensuring that taxes are charged correctly and collected
- Work with HQ to ensure group audits and accounting requirements are met
Supporting role:
- Develop financial metrics to monitor and analyze the company initiatives and experimentations in the field of hospitality (ex. pop-up culinary events)
- Lead the financial audit of potential new projects during HMA negotiations, take part in the negotiations
- Able to setup budgets and forecasts for new properties under HMA agreements
